A Note From Kaelie
Whether you are navigating the complexities of religious trauma, narcissistic family dynamics, or the burnout of being a healthcare professional, your struggles are signals - not character flaws. When a plant wilts, we don’t blame the plant; we look at the soil, the light, and the water. As a trauma therapist, I help you identify the missing "nutrients" in your life. I provide a soft landing for those who have spent years feeling unseen or misunderstood. By replacing criticism with curiosity, we can unlearn the rigid expectations of perfection and discover what you need to truly thrive. My practice is a safe, affirming space for poly/ethical non-monogamy, kink, and all genders/sexual identities - you are seen and celebrated here!

Healing requires more than just talking; it requires learning how to safely inhabit our bodies again. My approach is integrative and trauma-focused, bridging the gap between insight and practical regulation by looking at your life through three primary lenses:
-
The Root (Psychodynamic & Attachment Based): We explore how your earliest relationships and family history shaped your current patterns. By understanding these roots, we can shift from reactive survival strategies to intentional choices.
-
The Body (EMDR & Somatic): I use EMDR and Somatic techniques to help your nervous system process "stuck" trauma and return to a state of safety and regulation.
-
The Self (IFS & Compassion Focused): Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), we get curious about the different "parts" of you; even the ones you might dislike. By moving with compassion and a person centered focus, we transform self-criticism into self-trust.

Your past has shaped you, but it doesn't have to stay in the driver's seat. While we can’t change what happened, we can change how it lives within you today. My goal is that you leave our sessions not just with insight, but with a body that feels like home and a heart that feels seen. You are worthy of love and safety exactly as you are. I would be honored to help you discover a life that is yours; not just one you have survived.
