A Note From Kelsy Kerr
I’m passionate about helping teens and adults learn how to welcome and honor their whole selves. The majority of my work as a counselor focuses on boundary-setting, recovering from perfectionism, and healing from religious trauma. If you feel pulled in too many different directions, feel like you’re “never good enough,” feel depleted in your relationships, or struggle to ask for what you want and need, I want to walk alongside you and empower you to reconnect with yourself.
My approach is person-centered and includes a combination of mindfulness-based CBT and trauma-informed techniques. In your first session or two, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. We'll consider how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, as well as the systems you're a part of, impact your mental health.
I believe in meeting you where you are. As someone who has greatly benefited from counseling during difficult seasons of my own life, I know that asking for help and seeking out support takes a lot of courage. I’d love to collaborate with you on your wellness journey.
